Considerable interest is attached to this match, as tho • team to represent Canterbury in tho forthcoming intorprovancial contests will bo chosen from those taking part in the game to-morrow. The team selected will meet Otago at the Show Grounds, on Saturday . week, and on tho following Saturday will play Wellington, at»Wellington. Another interesting contest to be played at the Show Grounds to-morrow will bo tho second grade game, Meiival© v. Lincoln College. Both these teams hare played very consistently throughout tho season, and are well up in the competition; Both matchca will commence at 2.15 p.m. SCHOOLS' MATCH. Yesterday afternoon a match was-played at Rangiora between the High School and West Christchurch District High School teams. • Tho home team won by 13 points to 3. For Rangiora Brown (two), Bell, and Widdoweort scored, Leigh converting one, while Penlington kicked a penalty goal for Clirietchurch. Mr H. M. Hawkins was referee. I
MID-WEEK COMPETITION. The third round of the Secondary Schools' mid-week competition Was. played on Wednesday, the teeults being as under:— Technical defeated B.H.S. A by 6 points to nil. Little scored, and Mitcholl kicked a penalty goal ior the winners. West Christchtirch D.H.S. defeated B.H.S. B by 9 points to nil. Dey scored a try, and Penlington scored a try and kicked a penalty goal. Mr Brockitt was referee. St. Andrew's defeated Christ's College fry 35 points to nil. For the winners Rainey (4), McPherson (2), A. McDonald (2), H. McDonald (2), and Paton' scored. H. McDonold converted one, and Rainey kicked a penalty goal. Mr S.'P. McCallum was referee.
