"OUR DAY" APPEAL.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE, Tho "Onr Day" Committee met yesterday, Mr J. A, Fleehor presiding over a Jar go attendance. Tho chairman read a copy of the circular which it is intended to send to each of the 260 Branoho® of tho Red Cross Society, asking them to assist with tho appeal as generously aa they havo done in' the past. Mr Fleeter explained that it was also intended to circularise local todies and similar organisations in connexion with the effort. Mr G. L. Donaldson presented for the consideration of the committee a number of suggestions as to the plan of campaign. Ho asked that the committee of the "Bed Cross Becord" be asked to devote one,or two pages of the. "Rccord" to advertising tho appeal. It was decided to set up a email nominating committee to consider the most suitable members ior the various eub-committees necessary. Messrs Beewick, G reason, Hallcnstein, and Flesher were appointed to tho committee. On the motion of Mr Beswick, it was decided to set up four sub-committece, a city canvassing committee, a country canvassing committee, a country organising committee, and on advertising committee. Messrs Gould, Beaumont and Co. were appointed treasurers of the Fund.
