SIR A. LUCAS-TOOTH
my Cable. —Press Associations-Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association.) SYDNEY, July 16. The death is announced of Major Sir Archibald L. L. Lucas-Tooth, of pneumonia. while on service m J? ranee. As deceased waß the only surviving son of Sir Robert Lucas-Toothy his two elder brothers having been killed in action, the baronetcy becomes extinct. The late baronet was born in 1884, and married in 1916 Miss Bovill, of Pont street, London. A daughter being the sole issue, the baronetcy becomes extinct. Mr Robert Caldwell, who had lived at Karori (Wellington) for a great many vears, and was very highly respected, died suddenly on Sunday. He was a native of Nelson, 65 years of age, and spent part of his eatly life in Queensland. For a number of years he was a draughtsman in the Lands and Survejr Department, retiring on superannuation a few months ago. Mr Caldwell has left a widow and a family of nine. Three of his sons, one of whom is a major, nre at the front, and another will go into camp next week. The deceased s eldest daughter is the wife of Major H. Richardson, D.5.0., M.C., also at* ; the front, and another daughter is Mrs > Ledger, of Nelson. I
