E. faimes (Mr ituymondj, leave to administer interrogate!les was granted. A motion for leave to remove a plaint into the Supreme Court was granted in ro the Mew Zealand Loan ana Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., v. Charles Edward Cook ('Air Beswick). Lcava to purcliaso and mortgage land was granted in ro Francis Boland, deceased (Mr Rowo). In ro Charles Henry Orchard and another (Mr Johnston) y. Nellie Camilla Grant, leave to oxcrciso power of sale was granted. In re Charles George Baker (Mr Johnston) v. James George AVhitmore and George Robort Whittington, a motion for ieave to exercise power of sale was' granted. A similar order was made in re W. A. Carew and S. D. Carew (Mr Harman) v. George Argyle, with £5 5s disbursements. j Leave to dispense with sorvice on [ George Gardiner in re Henry Bisdel Stuckey and others (Mr K. S. Williams) v. George Gardiner, was granted, I also.power to sell. ! On a summons to set aside writ in ! the case of Sydney Goldsmith (Mr Goodman) v. Clement Camm Derrett (Mr Thomas), judgment was "Order made that writ be amended by (a) stating that the place of trial/ shall be at Invercargill, and (b) that defendant shall filo hi% defence at Invercargill. By consent defendant to have fourteen days for filing defenco at Invercargill from date of service of-order on Mr Thomas, action to be tried at first sittings at Invercargill after tho expiration of twenty days from service of order on MiThomas. Costs £2 2s and disbursements allowed to defendant." In re Edward _ Henry Shirley and Mary Howat Shirley (infants) (Mr Twyneham) an order was mada accordingly on a motion to appoint a guardian'.
MAGISTERIAL. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) ALLEGED THEFT. George Evans, alias Lloyd, alias Henry James Evans, was chaiged with tho theft of a letter containing £4, and remanded to appear at Wellington today. Richard Charles Burnett (Mr Malley) was remanded until Friday ou a charge of stealing a bicycle, valued at £6, tne proporty of David Davidson, bail being allowed. MAINTENANCE. William Joshua Heasley (Mr Sargent) was charged by Mary Alexander Heasley vMr Beswick) with disobedience of his maintenance order. The case was adjourned for a week, pending enquiries, defendant to pay arrears amounting to £8 lis. Lucy Ellen SuUivnn. charged William Sullivan with disobedience of hi 6 maintenance order." Defendant - was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. In the case of Edith Elizabeth Bowen v Harold Charles Bowen, defendant was sentenced to two months' imprisonment for disobeying the provisions of a maintenance order. -<-> Christopher Cullen Flnnapnn, who wns sued bv Maude Elena Flanagan, was sentenced to one.month's imprisonment for disobedience of his maintenance order. RANGIORA. (Before Mr V. G. Day, S.M.) Arthur Qunm was fined 5s and costs, and Oeorpre Murfitt 10s and costs, for allowing cattle to wander.
