Cloud (0-10) ... " 6 I The readings taken at the Ashburton Domain weather station at 9 &.m, yesterday were: —Barometer, '2£M; thermometer, max. 57, min. 37; rain, o.7in; frost, 2deg. SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Tho barometer has fallen steadily sinoe Saturday, and is now extremely low. Strong and squally north-west to south-west winds have prevailed, and the weather has been unsettled generally, with rain at times in most parts of tho country. Snow has fallen 'on some of the higher levels in the boutn Island. . , ► « Present indications aro for southerly winds, Strong to gale, and tho barometer • rising everywhere soon.
