A serious feature of the Eveleigh Railway Workshops fire is that it destroyed a large building heavily stocked with truck covers and waterproof sheets for protecting rolling-stock, which are now very difficult to replace, owing the the present scarcity of materials. (Received July 15th, 10.10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 15. A battle-scarred tank, fresh from en. counters on the battlefields of France, has been landed in Melbourne. ' It will be utilised for recruiting and war loan demonstrations.
