I BIG FIRE IN SYDNEY. (By Cable.—Prew Association.—Copyist.) . . SYDNEY, July 15. , A big fire is in progress in the Eveleich workshops. It is believed that the damage will approximate £20,000. SYDNEY, July 15. •The fire has been extinguished. The damage is estimated at £20,C00. (Received July 15th, 10.10 p.m.) SYDNEY. July 16. A serious feature of the Eveleigh Railway Workshops fire is that it destroyed a large building heavily stocked with truck covers and waterproof sheets for protecting rolling-stock, which are now very difficult to replace, owing the the present scarcity of materials. RAIN BADLY WANTED. (Received July 15th, 10.10 n.m.) 5 SYDNEY, July 15. The weather is bitterly cold, and rain is badly wanted. The outlook for tho winter is unpromising. WAR TROPHY IN MELBOURNE. (Received July 15th, 10.10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 15. A battle-scarred tank, fresh from en. counters on the battlefields of France, has been landed in Melbourne. ' It will be utilised for recruiting and war loan demonstrations.
