NORTH CANTERBURY GUN CLUB.
On Saturday afternoon the North Canterbury Gun felub held an invitation shoot at Rangiora. Two events were on the card, thj first being a seven bird (pigeons) £1 sweep. For this there were 22 entrants and the scores were as follows:—A. Kerr 7, W Chianall 7, W. Read 7, J. Skilling 6, T. Whittoi 6. G. Cudby 6, J. Hickinbottom G, E. Wheeler 6, H. Ayers 6, F. Truscott 6, C. Hickinbottom 5, W. Efiord 5, H. Ensoj 5, D Prouse 5, C, Hammond 5, D. F. Dennehy 5," H. Price 5, F. Preece 5, G. Brueie 4, J. Garland 4, A. Smith 4, A. Greig 4. The first three competitors divided the stake. The second event was a five bird 10s sweep, in which 21 competed. The scores were: — C E. Hammond 5, J. Hickinbottom 5, J. Garland 5, W. Read 5, C. Hickinbottom 5, D. F. Dennehy 5, R. Jack 5, J. Skelling 4, G. Cudbv 4, H. Avers 4. W Chisnall 4 H. Price 1, F. Truscott 4, H. Ensor 3, A. Macdonald 3, D. Prouse 3, A. Kerr 3, A. Smith 3, G. Bruere 2, E. Wheeler 2, E. Fear retired. The seven who killed all their birde divided the stake.
