WILL FAMINE WIN ?
Seven years ago (says an American paper), a famous European student ot history proptiesied tlxat the next great war would be won not so much by fighting as by famine. We are to-day figuting that war, and famine is indeed threatening to be its arbiter. .But famine and the Germans will not win if everyone conserves food as requested by the Food Administration, and everyono raises as much as possible for his own needs. . u Lot each reader ask himself or herself:— . . "What aro you doing m this direction? Do you intend to grow or produce anything? If not; why not?" Onions, Parsnips, Carrots, Swedes, potatoes, all keep well, and can be grown where used, at about one penny per pound. That is the cheapest food in the world to-day.
NoWj to make a success in our gardens, wo want to give the ground good cultivation, and we want good seeds for the sowing. Remember the "high cost" of low-priced seeds, ahd buy the best.
SOW COOPER'S SEEDS, THE "SEEDS OF SUCCESS."
You can procure "them from your Seedsman or Storekeeper, but bo sure they aro from Cooper's, Wellington, and 1918 Season Supply. G6
