The Board gTanted sine die adjournment?, the chairman stating that the Board would not in any circumstances do anything to deplete the port of necessary "waterside workers, but it would havo to bo satisfied in every caso that a man was an espart workman. George Robert Lawrence, being a member of C.ass C, had his appeal allowed. The further hearing of the appeal of Leonard Shearman (Heathcote) was adjourned for a fortnight to allow him to be medicallv re-examined. 1 The sister of Thomas Stapleton on iscmce in Egypt, applied for furlough in Now Zealand for him. It was decided to rccommond two months' furlough.
