SUMNER LIFEBOAT BRIGADE.
The twemticrth annual meeting of the Sumner Lifeboat Brigade was held last night, Mr H. J. Marrinsr presiding. The annual report, -which was adopted. 6bowed thai seven rescues had been effected daring the year. Kino members had left on. aetivo service, Jireo of whom had been killed. The practices had been well attended, and the crew -was at present in a high eiaie of efficiency. The balance-sheet showed & credit of £10 3& 3d. -with £3 10s liability. The receipt* from *J>« donation box iuueited in tho lifeboa* shed door amounted to £1 16s 3d.
The election of officer® resulted aa follows: —Patron, Mr G. Humphreys; president, Hon. J. Ban, M.L.C.; vice-presidents, Dr. C-hee-EO3, Professor Scott, Messrs L. V. Comerford, H. C. Jamieson, and E. Denham: chairman, Mr H. J. 3Tarriner; occretaiy and treasurer, Mr R. Piercy; captain, Mr G. Hines; auditors, Messrs S. K. Bsasett and e. G, Kobwic
