PATRIOTIC FUND.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Canterbury Patriotic Fund was held yesterday, the Alayor (Mr H. Holland) presiding. 'JL'ho financial statements showed that the total receipts for Juno were £Sos 15s 6d, making a total to date of £194,665 14s 6tl. Tho expenditure lor June m £ITo7 10s 4d, and the total expenditure £53,022 6a 2d. The report was adopted. The recommendations of tho Agricultural and Farming Committee, th? Trade* and Professions Committee, and the Grants and allowances Committee were adopted.
A letter was received from the Advisory Board, stating that in the ordinary course of events tho annual conference of delegates from affiliated societies should be held next month, but that some members of the Board considered that a conference was not nccossary this year. It waa decided to reply that the executive did not consider the conference necessary. It was aleo resolved that Mr J. J. Dougall should be reappointed the executive's representative on tho Board.
