CHRIST'S COLLEGE AND BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL.
TO-MORROW'S FOOTBALL MATCH
The annual football match between the Boys' High School and Christ's College first fitteens will be played at the Show Grounds, Addington, to-mor-row afternoon. This match is always looked forward to by every follower of tho game in Canterbury, and also in many parts of tho Dominion. As the teams this soason appear to be more evenly mateiied than for some time past, a closo and oxciting game is anticipated. But even in tho past, when one team has appeared to be much stronger than the other, the apparently weaker team has invariably risen to the occasion, and made a great game of it. _ By taking a" line through tho competition matches of 'this season, there does not appear to be a vory big difference between the two teams' performances. Boys' High School are the only team in tho Junior competition who have not been beaten, but they have not yet played Old Boys, whereas College have mot Old Boys twice, losing the first game and winning the second—the latter a good performance.
As has been the case in the majority of past matchcs, the College team are tho heavier, averaging somewhere about a stone heavier per man all round. In theso fast, open games, however, weight is not nearly such an important factor as it is in non-school contests. College have won the match for the past two seasons, and for that roason, perhaps, they are favourites for to-morrow's match.
The nl.rrinf area at the Show Ground should bo in first-class condition, and as thero is ample accommodation for the public, and the izato proceeds nT*» for a worthy cause, there is every indication at nresent. of tho nttendnrice of a record ornwd. The kick-off will take place at 2.45 p.m.
