TO-DAY'S RECIPE. Dried Apricot Roll.—Required: One egg, one pint of milk, one pint of cooked sieved apricots, one tabfespoonful of honey, half a tablespoonful of warmed butter, a pint measure of dried stale crumbs, a saltspoonful of mixed spice. Wash tho apricots anS soak taem for 12 hours, then stew them in the soaking water until soft, and rub them through a sieve. Well beat the egg and stir into it all the other ingredients, mixing them very thoroughly. Let stand for an hour, then form into rolls, like largo corks, and cither fry a golden brown in smoking hot fat; or bake them in a quick oven. Serve with hot fruit syrup.
