MEETINGS AND SOCIALS.
QUEEN'S OWN LODGE, NO. 36, P.A
A send-off social was held by the members and friends of this lodge on Friday night, in honour of P.M. Bro. W. J. Horwell and Bro. S. McGeorge, who wer© on their final lease. A programme of songs, recitations, and p&rlour games was successfully gone through. P.M. Bro. J. E. Cooper presided. A presentation of a lodge medallion was made to each departing brother by the W.M., Bro. Geo. Johneton, wishing them on behalf of th« lodge good luck and'a safe return. Both brothers suitably replied. WOOLSTON BAND. The Woolston Band heH its annual meeting on Saturday night, when there was a full muster of members, and also a number of the bar "s supporters. Mr T. F. Hall occupied t>.o chair, and congratulated the band on its balance-sheet, which, with the secretary's report, was adopted. The officers for the ensuing year are:—Patron, Mr T. F. Hall: president. Mr W. Newton: conductor, Mr R. J. Estall; bandmaster, Mr W. Newton; sergeant, Mr G. Wilson; corporal, Mr P. Reeves; lance-corporal, Mr F. Roso; secretary. Mr L. Smith; treasurer, Mr E. Hound; librarian, Mr A. Oliver. At the close of the meeting the annual social wae held, and musical items were rendered by Messrs P. Reeves, R. Barber, W. Fenton, arrl songs by Messrs R. Massey, T. • Laurie, G. Wilson, C. Gallop, and Dugay.
