Cloud (0-10) .. -.0 0 The readings taken at tho Ashburton Domain weather station at 9 a.m. yesterday were : —iiarometer, 38.8; thermometer, nrny. 43, min. 24; frost, 12deg. The .meteorological observations recorded at the Ashburton Domain weather station for the month of Juno aro as follows^: —Highest barometer, 30.24 degrees, on the 4 ih; lowest, 29.3 degrees, on the 20th; highest maximum thermometer, 65 degrees, on the 3rd; lowest, 39 degrees, on the 28th; highest minimum, 42 degrees on the 24 th; lowest, 22 degrees, on the 12tli; rainfaH, 2.52 inches, as against 95 points for the same month, last year. Frost was recorded on 21 nights, the maximum being 13 degrees. FORECAST. Present indications are for moderate _to strong southerly winds, the barometer rising in the North but falling in the South shortly. Expect fair to cloudy weather generally, but unsettLed at times on tho East Coast of the North Island and in the southernmost districts.
