On a charge of malingering, Private Ir. J Garlick, C Company, CI, was found guiity by district court-martial, held at Featherston, and sentenced to one year and'sis months' hard labour. The sentence was mitigated to one of 90 days' detention, and further mitigated, so that if accused embarked for service outside New Zealand the unexpired portion of the sentence 6hould be remitted - upon arrival at the port of disembarkation.
