WE CANNOT MEASURE FRANCE'S SACRIFICE, BUT WE CAN DO SOMETHING TO MINISTER TO HER NEEDS. OUR DEBT OF GR ATITUDE CAN NEVER BE PAID. TO FRANCE WE OWE OUR SAFETY. LET US JOIN TN SENDING HER A TOKEN. In compliance with the request of tho Central Committee in Wellington, of which his Worship the Mayor is Chairman, it has been decided to raise a Fund in -Christchurch as a tribute of our admiration of the gallantry and steadfastness of our French Allies.
