' , Mr Alpcrs, who appeared for us applied for bail. Ho said he did not know if a large sum could be found. Accused had a wife and five children, and though he had. many friends they were like accused himself, wago-earncrs with'no property. Counsel suggested £200, in two sureties of £100 each. It was easier-to get two of £100 than two of £125 each. His Worship suggested that it might be afc easy to get two of £150 each, or threo of £10!) each. Ultimately his Worship fixed bail at £200 in two sure ties of £100 each, and accused in £200. Ho asked if the charge was to be reduced to one of manslaughter. Sub-Inspector Mullanoy said ho could not consent to that at present. Accused was further remanded till Friday.
