TRAMWAY EMPLOYEES' CONFERENCE.

(SPECIAL TO "THE PEESS.") DUiNJiUIA, July 2. To-day tho representatives or the Tramway Employees'' Unions of the Dominion assembled in the Trades Hall to discuss questions affecting tiieir calling. Various remits are down for consideration, among them being tho advisability of capccliing registration under tho Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Actj and the establishment of an eight hours' day for tramway men, with wages commensurate to constitute a living wage, without being compelled to work overtime, as at present. Another important remit down for consideration is the question of the Dominion Tramway employees affiliating -with the Transport Workers' Federation, which comprises the seamen, watersiders, rail way men, and drivers. It is expe-ted that tho congress will sit for several days.
