WINTER BOWLING. Several matches wore played laet week in the Kia Ora indoor bowling rink. A rink from Opawe, 'consisting of E. C. Gwalkin, R. Eastwood, J. W. Beanlaud, and E. Taylor (s) played the following team, representing LytteltonC. H. Agar, J. 'Young, D. Page, and E. H. Henderson (s). After a closely contested game the visitors won by 21 points to 19. A rink representing the Canterbury Club:—M. 'Barnett, G. Alpe, T. Marker, and G. T. White (s), played the following Lyttelton rink:—W. Brown, J. T. Norton, J. Young, E. H. Henderson (s).
