SHIPPING NOTES. The Poherua will leave Weatport today •with coal for Lyttelton. She is due here on Wednesday afternoon. The Manuka is due at Wellington toKiiy from Sydney. She will arrive hero on Wednesday morning, and sail in the evening for Sydney, via Wellington. The Rosamond will probably arrive at Lyttelton tonight with ehoep from Gubome. She will leave here to-merrow for Napier, via Oamaru and Timaru. . • Captain Johnston has replaoed Captain Owen as master of the ana Mr R. Carnachan has succeeded Mr Crot-y as mate. . • , .. Mr M. A. Scott, chief engineer of the Kowhai, has gone ashore. Hie position has been filled b'y Mr F. Hewitt. . The Paloona, for San i ranoisco, wiJ leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon. The auxiliary schooner Huanui, which is discharging timber at Lyttelton from Kaipara, will afterwards load produoe for Wellington. She will probably sail to-morrow. The Mana, which went on tho Lyttelton slip on Friday for cleaning and painting, will be taken off to-day. The Invercargill is dud hero on Wednesdav from northern ports. Mr R. Lawrence, assistant purser of the Monowai, has gone ashore. Tho Tarawera will leavo Dtmodin about Wednesday with general cargo for Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier. Gisborne, and Auckland.
