THE FALLEN AND WOUNDED. PERSONAL NOTES Mr J. W. Dell, Lynnford', Ashburton, has been advised that his son, Corporal G. W. 3>ell, was transferred to tho Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, on June 19th. Mrs A. Raleh, of 96 Shirley road, St. Albans, lias been advised that her youngest son, Rifleman C. J. ( . P l ' Ralph, is being invalided home. Rifleman Ralph loft with tho 22nd Reinforcements, and has been in hospital since July 28th, 1917, suffering from trench fever. Trooper Norman Lester, of the Alain Body, died in the Cbristcburch Hospital on Saturday. The late Trooper Lester, who was a Lyttelton man, was one of the first New Zealand soldiers to bo invalided back from tho front, and had been under treatment both at Hanmer Springs and Christchurch for over two years. He served in the South African war. At the time of his enlistment in 1914 he was engaged in the Telegraph Department, Timaru. A brother is serving at tho front. Mr R. E. Reeve, of Rangiora, has received advice that his son, Private Eric G. E. Reeve, of the 29th Reinforcements, who was admitted to clie Broekenhurst Hospital on April 30th, with a shell wound, is progressing favourably, and was transferred, on June 12tii to the Convalescent Hospital at Hornchurch.
