NAVAL ACTION.
BRUSH OFF THE BELGIAN COAST. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Beater's Telegrams.) (R&ceived June 30th, 11.25 p.m.) LONIX)N, June 21). The Admiralty reports:— "Four British destroyers, patrolling the Belgian coast on the evening of June 28th, sighted eight enemy torpedo boats. The British made full speod on an easterly course, engaging the enemy at long range, the action lasting 15 minutes. "i hrco more torpedo boats joined tho enemy, whereupon the British fell back upon supports. The enemy did not follow, and tho action was broken off. "The British vessels were undamaged.'' THE GERMAN VERSION. (Received Juno 30th. 11.25 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. A German official report Etates:— "On the evening of Juno 27th parts of our Flanders' torpedo forces engaged British destroyors off Ostend. "After half an hour's fight the enemy withdrew, escaping out of sight by developing fog. "Hits were observed on two enemy destroyers. Oar boats returned to thoir bases undamaged."
