PURELY FINANCIAL MEASURES'.
The Prime Minister statod at Auckland on Wednesday that tho brief session of Parliament which is to take place early next month would be confined to the passing of supplies and such financial legislation as was necessary pending the return to tho Dominic 11 of tho Finance Minister and himself from the Imperial Conferonce. When the House met it would be, of course, ossential to pass the usual Address-iu-Roply motion, but after this was disposed ol it was not anticipated that the Houso would delay in passing tho financial measures submittod to it. Mr Massey remarked that he and his colleague did not anticipate being absent from tho Dominion for mote than four or fivo months, and Parliament would be reassembled shortly after their return for the main business of the year, which would probably occupy the legislators till Christmas or later. As to tho likelihood or otherwise of a general election being held in February or March of next year, tho, J rime Minister declined to oxorcss anv opinion. * " J
