PERSONAL. % A presentation was made to Mt D. Jack, at the Mitio Hotel, on th© occasion of his approaching marriage. The present, which !took the form of a haDdsome case of cutlory, was handed over by Mr W. T. Lester, who congratulated the recipient, and wished him goccete and happiness. PICTURES. A Paramount Service film, "Big Timber," vns preflfented at yesterday's 6€3Sionfl in the Hwbour Light Picture Theatre. The same programme will be presented to-night. There will be » complete chajjgc to-morrow, the leading subject being :l world film entitled "He P»g e Mystery." _ featuring Carlyle •Jlackwell and Juno Elvidgc. [ - CONTENT SCHOOL CONCERT. I The pupils of tho Lyttelton Convent School held a concert in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening, before a crowded audience. An excellent programme, including rocal and instrumental items, and step dancing, was submitted, the audience showing its appreciation* by frequent applause. The proceeds from the concert go to the school fund.
