9 THE EDUCATION ENQUIRY. The enquiry into matters relating to tho national system of education was resumed yesterday afternoon, before Mr J. A. Frostick, Canterbury Commissioner on the National Efficiency Board, and further evidence was taken. -The enquiry will be continued to-day. WHITE PINE SUPPLIES. Difficulties have arisen respecting the utilisation and conservation of the Dominion's supplies of white pine, one important feature being the the extent to which the use of white pine should be restricted. The whole subject is to be gone into at a conforenco bet'vren the members of the National Efficiency Board and representatives of the Associated Sawmillers of New Zealand, the refrigerating companies. and the dairy companies. Tho conference will open in Wellington on April 4th.
