INCREASE IN PRICE. On and after April 2nd next, and until further notice, tho price of "The Weekly Press and K-eferee" will be raised to Sd per single copy. The • subscription rates have been lixed as follows: — PREPAID. £1 10s per annum lCs per half-year 9s 6d per quarter, BOOKED. £1 16s per annum 16s per half-year 3b 6d per quarter Postage extra to places outside the Dominion only. Tho necessity for tho increase has been forced upon tho proprietors of "The Weekly Press and Referee" and other weekly papers by the enormous increase in the landed cost of news printing paper, which has now reached over 300 per cent, on tho pre-war price. The raw materials use<f in produc-. tion have uUo advanced very considerably. "The Weekly Press and Referee" cannot now be sold for 6d per copy without serious loss. The increaye decided upon does not by any mean- recoup tho proprietors tho enormously increased cost, but they desire to intimat* that they are prepared to share tho burden with their readers until the position again becomes normal.
