HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLED REPORT. The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram, dated London, March Kith, 1918, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand: — Meat: Available quantity not large, but on account of rations present supplies meet requirements. Supplies consist chiofly of New Zealand lamb, Canadian beef, and English calves, all at maximum prices. English mutton and beef, small supply. Butter and Cheese: No change since last report: small supply soiling at maximum prices. Hemp: Manila hemp, superior grade, is in. demand, early delivery. Stocks at February 23th were 31.998 bales, against '33,329 bales at February 28th last year. New Zealand: Already shipped continues in active demand. Practically nothing doing for forward shipment. Wheat and Oats: Market very quiet owing to the abscnce of offers for account of Government. Official quotations havo not changed. STUD. SHEEP SALES. t At tiic Aldington Sards yesterday the New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Association sold the following Southdown stud sheep, on account of the late Henry Pannett's Estate (Springston): 53 two, three; and four-shear owes at 2igs to 3gs, 50 ewe lambs at 2-Jgs to 2k£S, 43 two-shear owes afc 3gs to 4Jgs, 43 two, three and four-shear ewes at 3Jgs to 4gs, 30 ram lambs at l»gs, 1 imported four-shear ram at , 2 four-shear rams at 7gs to 13gs, 5 one-shear rams at 3igs to sigs.

TEMTTKA STOCK SALE. Thero was a fair attendance at tho Ternuka stock sale on Tuesday, and' a good entry. Prices for fats were well maintained, but stores were weaker. Fat ewes made 2(5s 9d to 31s 6d, fat wethers 28s to 34s (id, fat lambs' 26s lOd to 31s 3d, mixed sex lambs 20s to 23s 2d, two-tooth ewes 33s to 36s lOd, four, six and eight-tooth ewes 2Ss 9d to 3-is 3d, full-mouth ewes 2os Bd, store ewes 16s 6d to 21s, fat cows £S 12s €<1 to £17 17s 6d, and springing heifers £10 to £11 10s.

Day, and on account of the mortgagees, a fiveroomed bungalow and 49 perches of land, situated m Hawthorn© road, St. Albans, for -£695, to Mr Taylor.
