CASUALTIES.
An inquest was held 011 Tuesday evening, l>y -Mr T. A. B. Bailey, Coroner, concerning the death of John. Riordan, 19 Smith street, Lower Riccarton, £\nd a verdict of death from cardiac failure following nephritis was recorded. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND. March 20. Sydney Martin, a singlo man, aged 44, employed as a storeman, died in" hospital from a wound in the throat, stated to have been self-inflicted. He had served as a gunner with an early reinforcement, and was recently in hospital as a neurasthenia patient
