This morning the trial grass will be open, and on Saturday the outside of the course propor will be available for fast work, weather permitting. The No. 6 grass track was open l'or work yesterday morning. Biplane ran down three furlongs on the bit, ancY seemed to relish the soft going. Banian, who has just arrived, back at lliccarton, did steady pacing. He has one or two ugty bumps on his legs, but is sound, and in great heart. Tho hard ground has been troubling Don Francisco, so B. Emerson, has decided not to race him at the Easter Meeting. J. McCrackcn is due at Riccarton on Saturdnj with Croesus.
