OBITUARY.
MR JOHN RIORDAN
The death occurred on Monday of Mr John Kiordan, at Ins lato residence, 39 Smith street, Addington, at tho age of 50. The deceased was a well-known and respected resident of Addington, having resided in the district for the last 30 years. He was employed in the RailWays Department, having been over -10 years in the service, joining as an apprentice at the Addington Workshops, and later being employed in the drafting ami clerical branches. His death was unexpected, although he had been off duty, ill, for the last three months. Advice was received in Wellington on Monday by Mrs R. T. C. Ftitch of the death from smallpox of her brother, Mr A. E. Coleman, only son of the late Mrs R. F. Coleman, of Christchurch. The deceased, who was at ono time an engineer with Messrs Scott Bros., and afterwards engineer in various vessels of the New Zealand Shipping Company's line, had for the past six years been managing engineer for the "Lightfoot Refrigerating Company, Ltd., Bombay. News has be«n received in Christ- | church of the death, in Melbourne, on Monday, of Mr Barnet Glass, founder of the Barnet Glass Rubber Company.
