LAKE WAIKAREMOAXA AS A SOURCE. (rr.EJS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WAIROA. March 16. The party of members of Parliament and representatives of local bodies in the Wellington, Wairarapa, Manawaiu, and Hawke's Bay districts which is visiting Lake Waikaremoana to become acquainted with the possibilities of the Jake as a source of hydro-o'.ectrical power supply, reached their destination late last evening, after a roujjh and trying trip, dun to the stato of the roads after the rocent bad weather. Mr J. T. M. Hornsby, M.P., had a naiTow escape from a serious accident. While tramping from the camp to the Lake House ho fell ten feet down a bluff, but was pulled up nnhurt. Mr Buick, M.P., and others fell into tho lake when a launch ran aground, but none was hurt. All ar© in high spirits.
