A WOUNDED SON.
-MOTHER APPEAL'S FOll HIS RETURN. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) TAUMARUXUI, March 16. Ah unusual case came before the Appeal Board hero to-day. A woman appealed to have one of her sons returned to New Zealand, as he was now in a London hospital wounded, and unfit for further service in the trenches. The applicant has several sons at the front, and the wounded one would be of more use sit home than doing clerical work. Captain Walker said he was in perfect sympathy with the request, but the Board had iio power to grant it. The only person who could was the officer commanding. The chairman, in giving judgment, said it Was a very important issue. If a precedent \vdre established, there "light bo many such applications. The facts of tho present case would be submitted to the Defence authorities to deal with
