« BANK CLERKS' HATCH. It ie not very often that the bank clerk 6 of Chrietchurch meet in competition with one another, but on Monday next. St. Patrick's Day, they v.iil settle long-standing feuds by meeting one another in a tennis tournament, tho profits of which will go to the Y.11.C.A. "War* Fund. _ The United Club has grouted the use of its cour:3 for tho day. and coccidering the large number of entries, a good day's sport i« assured. Juniors will have tho opportunity of "getting square" with their seniors by delivering smashing vollcya, and the l&dy clerks will also demonstrate their capabilities with the racquet. A flannel dance will to held in the evening. The management committee consists of Jlisee-s Bloxam. V. Uoaraler, H. Leighton, Holiday. D. McCredie, 'Willis, and ilefsrs j P. Jackson. R. J. Xixon.
