♦ . (rRESS ASSOCIATION* TELEGRAM.) TIMARti, March 13. The W.C.T.U. Convention was addressed to-day by the "Rev. J. Dawson, secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, who spoke of the conccrted action necessary to sccuro national prohibition. A resolution was passed expressing sorrow at the death of Dr. H. D. Bedford, and appreciation of his services. A motion was passed recording thanks for the ear on the North Island Main Trunk railway line, and suggesting that a similar car he used on tho Main South Island mail trains.
