Bishop, claim £31 ss; Cooper and Duncan, Ltd. (Mr Cuningham) v. Neilson Murray and Frederick, claim 6s 7d; Charles Evans v. Samuel Rodgers, claim £3 10s 7d; Evin R. Curtis v. Alexandra Reid.. claim 19s 3d; International Harvester Co. of N.Z., Ltd. v. Thos. Tebbs, claim. £5 2s 6d; Bristol Piano Co. (Mr Cuningham) v. A. Renan, claim £10 9s Id.

A MOTOR-CAR ACCIDENT. Alma Mavis Elson, 11 years of *ge, through her father, AVilliam Edward Elson, company manager, New Brighton, claimed £40 0s 6d special . damages, arid £25 general damages, from Manvis B. Edwards, publican, New Brighton, in respect of injuries, resulting from defendant's motor-car having . knocked plaintiff's . .daughter down after she had alighted from a tram-car at the/Union street stop,. New on the evening- of Thursday, August 9th, 1917.. ■_ Mr L. A. Dougall appeared for plaintiff, and Mr J. A. Cassidy for defendant. Judgment' was given for plaintiff for £50 (special and general damages). A WAGES CLAIM. H. Lloyd (Mr F. "VV. / Johnston) sought to recover ..from the New Zealand Glue Company (Mr Gresson) £6, wages"*alleged to be.due. The matter in dispute turned chiefly upon whether or not plaintiff was engaged by the hour, and as to payment for holidays. After hearing much evidence | judgment was given far plaintiff for I £3 12s and costs.
