SUMNER CLUB. A progressive doubles tournament was played vesterday, for prizes given by Messrs J. McDowell and T. A. Wrenn. There were 20 entries and 10 rounds were played. Mrs I*. A. Johnson was the winner with a score ot 88, Mib Jtcmmington being second with a score of 83. lira E. G. Kawnsley and Mrs I Isaac Wilson won the booby prizes. Following are the scores, Linwood players being mentioned first: — Doubles-—Miss Sproaen and Mr 3 Good 13 lost to Mrs Maddren and Mrs Good 26, Mrs Hilaon and Mrs Marriot 19 lost to Mrs Beswick and Mrs Bonnington 26, Mrs McCree and Mrs Jones 18 lost to Mrs Jones and Mrs Jacobs 26.
