UNITED PIGEON-FANCIERS' CLUB.
A meeting of the United Pigeon Fanciers' Club was held last night, Mr Arthur Smith, president, in the chair. The club at a, previous nieetii% had allotted •a. number cf specials to be competod for at tho Rangiora Poultry Show, and had also revised the pigeon schedule. The North Canterbury Club wrote expressing thanks. The club approved of Mr J. W. Green being selected to judge the pigeons at Rangiorn. The club cup for the best Working Homor yrafi allotted to the Chriatchurch Poultry Club's Show. The club decided to compile standards for the different breeds of pigeons; long-faced Tumblers will be the first breed' to be considered, and a committee, consisting of Messrs A. Eraser, T. _H. Jones, _A. Willis, and J. M. McLean, with tho chairman, was appointed to meet and submit a draft Tumbler standard to the club in a month's time. ' It was decided that the next tabic show be for Magpies and Frills. Mr T. H. Jones was selected to judge, and the hope was expressed that any fancier on a visit to Chriatchurch on Easter Wednesday would' attend the table show and spend an evening with local fanciers.
