AQUATICS.

CANTERBURY ROWING ASSOCIATION. The Canterbury Rowing Association met on Monday, tho following delegates being present Messrs F. D. Kesteven. (chairman), "W. Duggan, G. Ebert, U. H. Hobba, A. R. Brunsden, R. T. Nightingale, H. Tapling, A. C. Pinwell, F. S. Otley, W. Evans, H. Layton, A. T. Evans, and M. S. •,Gentles (Hon. secretary). Tho Kaiapoi Riverside Patriotic Carnival Committee's programme of rowing events was approved, and Mr R. E. Nightingale appointed to act as the Association's representative. It was decided to request the committee to give 6pecial attention to tho staging for tho launching and landing of rowing boats, aa crews had been greatly inconvenienced in tho past. The chairman reported on the recent interdub races, and congratulated the Avon Club on being successful in winning all the events. A letter was Tead from the Port Levy Regatta Committee requesting that rowing {rents bo placed on their programme for Easter Monday. It *38 decided to reply to the effect that the Association regretted, that it would bo unable to fall in with the requeet, owing to the latenees of the season, and the fact that most of the crews wouki (hen bo away in the Territorial canrps, UNION ROWING CLUB. The Lonieson Fours will be commenced this evening. The following crews will represent the club at the Kaiapoi Regatta: Junior Pair Oar and Double Sculls H. Lavton (str). A. Freeman (bow). Youths' Pair Oar and Double Sculls—T. H. Grenfell (etr), L. Zimmerman (bow). Maiden Pair Oar—H. C. Ross (str) and L. Kirk (bow). Maiden Double Scolla—W. Whrittington (str), L. Gregory (bow).
