A Zeppelin raid over Yorkshire is reported. THE PARIS RAID. SIXTY MACHINES PARTICIPATE. (By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PARIS, March 12. An official report states: — "A Gotha biplane was brought down in flames five kilometres from Chateau Thierry. ''The raid l>3gan at 5 o'clock in the evening and ended at midnight. "Sixty aeroplanes, in seven squadrons, crossed the French lines, though, barrages of great intensity wore put up. "A few reached Paris. They demolished several buildings and set firo to others." THE CASUALTY LIST. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received March 13tli, 9.30 p.m.) PARIS, March 12. A panic at the entrance to a raid shelter in an underground railway during last night's raid resulted in 66 persons being suffocated or trampled to death. The other casualties now total 34 killed and 79 injured, including six killed and seven injured at a hospital.
THE GERMAN REPORT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Ileuter'a Telegrams.) (Received March 13th, 8.20 p.m.) LONDON. March 12. A German official report states: — "Last night we made a successful raid, and dropped numerous bombs on Paris, in retaliation for the enemy.attacks on March 9th and 10th on Stuttgart, Esslingen, Interuert, Therin, and Mainz." GERMAN'S LOSE FOUR MACHINES. LONDON, March 12. The Germans lost four aeroplanes m the Paris raid. CASUALTIES IN NAPLES RAID.
ROME, March 12. Sixtoen were killed and forty injured in the Naples air raid. THE INTERNED AVIATORS. (Eeuter's Telegrams.) (Received March 13th, 8.20 p.m.) • LONDON, March 12Germany states that Captain Scholtze and Sub-Lieutenant Woolrey have been pardoned. Britain has replied that she is not satisfied with this reply, becausc it is not admitted that any offonco has been committed. A further explanation is awaited. CASUALTIES IN LONDON RAID. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Reutor's Telegrams.) (Received March 13th, 8 p.m.) LONDON, March 12. Tho Press Bureau states: — "Tho air raid on March 7th killed nine men, eight women, and three ehilj dren. Forty-three persons were injured.
