Redmond will contest the AVaterford City by-olection, necessitated by the death of Mr John Redmond. ; ~ The Sinn Fein candidate will be Dr. White. « Captain W. A. Redmond is at present member for East Tyrone, wnich constituency lie has represented since 1911. He is the eldest son of the late Mr John Redmond. STATEMENT BY LORD CURZON- . (Received March 13th, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 12. Replying to Lord Salisbury's censure of the Government's Irish policy, Lord Curzon stated in the Houso of Lorf* that the military had been given futt powers in the disturbed areas to suppress disorders and enforce the Already there were good results, but the situation was not yet normal, and' the military would remain while they were required.
