conference with the MINISTER. Tho Plon. W. D. S. Mac Donald, Minister for Agriculture, arrived in Christclmrch yesterday, to hold a, conf'erOncc with the 13oard of Trade and representatives of the milling industry regarding the price of Hour and other matters relating to this year's operations of the milling trade. Thore were present:—Messrs W. G. McDonald, Wheat Controller; W. ti. Pratt, AssistantCon troller: J. R. Hart, and I'. liallcy, members of the. Board of Trade, ancl tho following representatives of the millers: Messrs F. R. Corson (Wood Bros), Christehurch; 11. Miiligan, Oamaru; R. Hudson, Dunedin; U. Gardiner, Cust; P. W. Eiby and J. Maling, Timaru, and J. Renme, Invereargill. The eonference sat in private all day, and the Hon. W. 1). S. Mac Donald stated, at the elose, that there was nothing to report to the newspapers, but thathe hoped to be able to rnako an announcement to-day.
