SHIPPING NOTES. Mr D. S. Keen has signed on the Inverc-argill as chief engineer, replacing Mr J. W. Robinson. Mr F. 11. Ferguson lies joined tho Pateena as pnrser in place of Mr C. B. Madden. The Monowai having been delayed at Napier until Saturday, will not be dispatched from Wellington for Lyttelton and Dunedin until this cvenig. The Cygnet was despatched at about midnight on Saturday on a special trip to Kaikoura, where she will load sheep for Lyttelton. The Otago Iron Rolling Mills Company have purchased the steamer Stella, which has been laid up in tho stream at Auckland for the past three years.
WRECKAGE AT TAIAROA HEADS". (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") DUNEDIN, March 9. At Wycliffe Bay, near Taiaroa Heads, portions of wreckage have been washed aalaoro, consisting' of hatches and beams. One hatch was marked "li.V." r As far as this port is concerned, no vessel is overdue. The wreckage m»y have been carried by currents from the north, where wreckage has recently been found.
