KATES ' FOR OVEHTIME. Amended regulations governing the payment of overtime in the Post ami Telegraph Department and in the professional nnd clerical divisions of the Public Servico arc published in last week's "Gazette." In t.ho Post and Telegraph Department payment for overtime, when provided for, is to bo made at the following rates: — Per Hour, e. d. To officers drawing salaries exceeding £'-30 .. .. .. .36 To officers drawing salaries exceeding £200 and not exceeding £-230 2 0 To officers drawing salaries exceeding £165 and exceeding £200 19 To officers drawing salaries exceeding £100 and not exceeding £165 16 To officers drawing sajarics -up to and including £100 .. ~ ..10 To telegraph message boy# .. ..0 6 * The following are to be the rates of paypient for overtime, when such payment is sanctioned, to officers of the professional and clerical divisions:— I Per Hour, fi. d. Officers receiving a salarv of £100 per annum and under ~ .. ..10 Officers receiving over £100 and not exceeding £163 per annum 16 Officers receiving ' over £lt>s and not exceeding £200 per annum .. 19 Officers receiving over £200 and not exceeding £230 per annum .. 2 0 Officers receiving over £230 and not exceeding £300 per annum .. 2 6 Overtime shall be calculated to the nearest quarter of an hour. Officers of the General Division whose cases are not met by special regulation in that, behalf may be paid for overtime at .such rate as may be fixed by the Commissioner from time to time.
