The purchaser of a Studebaker car is always sure of getting absolutely satisfactory service, because this has been the univer- } sal experience of Studebaker owners all the world over. Owners who have used the Studebaker in hire service, which imposes perhaps the strictest possible test of durability, reliability and running economy, are enthusiastic regarding the Studebaker car. Here is a letter from a well-known taxi-proprietor in the Nelson district, Mr. W. J. Phillips, which speaks for itself: — Messrs. ADAMS LTD., Christchurch. Nelson, February 22, 1918. Dear Sirs, —The FOUR STUDEBAKER 1 purchased from J. C. Mercer ® Son, Nelson, last July, 1917, has now run about J3.000 miles, during which time I have never had any trouble with the Electric Starter or Electric Lamps. • > The petrol consumption is averaging 20 miles per gallon in hilly country. In my opinion the STUDEBAKER is out on own for HIRE and SERVICE work. The car rides smoothly, and there is no doubt that the car greatly assists me in my business connection. On the present run—Nelson to Christchurch—the car ran really splendid with 6 adults and luggage, 2 spare tins of petroi, and 2 extra tyres, having come through without a single hitch. Although the road donditions were very bad, we have not touched the tyres since leaving Nelson. In fact, the people at Blenheim strongly advised me not to go on owing to the flooded roads. (Signed) W. J. PHILLIPS, Nelson. PRICES: Touring, Roadster and 10-passenger Express Models, 4-cylinder, £445 ; 15 cwt van 4-cylinder, £395; Touring and Roadster Models, 6-cylinder, £525.
