CLEARING SALE. There was again a bit? attendance oi buyers and others at Mr Thomas Dowling's disposal sale on the Springfield Estate yesterday, when there was offered for sale and disposed of. at highly satisfactory prices, 23-30 fat j sheep, and 5000 store sheen, 50 head j of prime cattle, and 50 head of store cattle. In addition to the sheep anci cattle there were 14 light harness and trotting horses sold, each being by a standard-bred and well-known trotting sire. There were also submitted 20 good, useful, and well-bred working draught marcs and geldings. The sale j all the way through was a gratifying success. The pedigree Shorthorn cattle, sold on the first day, made good prices. Lady Chamberlain. by Charming Count, 21st, dam Thongs—Leigh l'anssy 4th, went to Stuart Baxter at 45 guineas, and a heifer calf, out of Ladv Chamberlain, by to the same buyer, at i" guineas. The ton price obtained was 63 guineas for the cow Thongslcigh Melba 11th, _bv Charming Count 21st, dam Thongsjeigh j Melba 4th, the buyer being C. _ J. .Tonkins. A three-year-old heifer, Daisy Oueen. by Charming Count 23rd. dam Thongsleigh Daisv Queen —2nd Event, went to J. Baxter at 31 guineas, and a cow, Lady Melbourne 2nd, was sold to L. Mapnirness at 20 euineas. A heifor,.
