Atmospheric pressure lias docrcased in ths south with tie development of a westerly low pressure, while a sub-tropical cyclone is etill centred northwards of the Bay of Plenty. The two disturbances liavo modified each other considerably to-day, and cloudy and wet weather has ruled in the North and East Coast districts of tho North Island, and warm and humid conditions have prevailed elsswhere. Present indications are for variable and strong winds, north-easterlies ruling, and backing to south-westerlies shortly, e.kiis clouding over more extensively with rain and colder weather following generally. Tho barometer is unsteady in the .North, and will probably be rising everywhere iu from 20 to 30 hours.
