A high military authority states: — "The strength of the enemy divisioi on the West front is still increasing and th.e enemy now lias a majority < some 16 divisions over the Allies, In that does not mean that thc\' ai superior in strength, owing to the A lies' divisions being larger. We hai also accumulated large supplies of gui and aircraft, in which our superioril is maintained, although it is stoadil diminishing. "The enemy's preparations are moi or less complete, and he can attack t soon as his local preparations are fii ished. It is more difficult to discovt these local preparations than larger e forts, because camouflage has reache such a degree of skill that it is hard t learn what is going on." PRUSSIAN LEADER'S STATEMENT (Reut-er'a Telegrams.) (Received March 7th, 5.5 p.m.) AMSTERDAM. March 6. Speaking in, the Prussian Lowe House, tho President, referring to th Russian peace, said:— "We are now able to concentrat solely on the Western front, where th final battle is impending. A French communique states:— "There is reciprocal artillery activity i the regions of Corbonoy and Rheims. "Enemy raids last night on our renches from Avocourt Wcod to northwest of Hill 344 were everywhere stoped by our fire. A German official report states: — "Our positions on tho north bank of lc Lys have been subjected to violent irsts of firing. "A strong English attack at Warnen was repulsed after hand-to-hand rhting.'' ACTIVITIES ON BRITISH FRONT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Reuter'a Telegrams.) Sir Douglas Haig reports:— "•Enemy artillery is more active at St, lentin, the Bois Grenier, Cambrai, id Ypres. » "We bombed railway sidings northeast of Lille. We brought down three aeroplanes and one of ours is missing. Our night-fliers bombed the Ingelmunster railway station and an aerodrome at St. Quentin. All the machines returned." AMERICANS REPULSE RAIDERS. (Reuter's Telegrams.) (Received March 7th, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 7. Router's correspondent at American Headquarters in France states that the • American troops are occupying a new sector on the French front in Lorraine. They repulsed German raiders, inflicting losses.
