GYMNASTIC CLUB. . M the first annual general meeting of th« Oxford Terraco Baptist' Young; Womcn'e Gymnastic Club, Mr H. W. I'ifo presided over a good attendance of members and deacons of the church, Tho toport was read and adopted. The. troasurer'o report showed a balance in hand of £4 13a 9d. Tho following officers were elected:— President, Rev. J, J. North; vice-presidents, Messrs ■ I'ite and Odell; instructor, Mr A. Bolsten; secretary, Miss H. Thorn peon; treasurer Miss McDonald; pianist, Miss D. Suckling; executive, Misses Drayton, Mills, Newman, Tebay, and the secretary, treasurer, and instructor. Four new members ■were elected. ST. ALBANS TENT. At a meeting of the St. Albans Rocliabito Tent- a vote of sympathy with Kifrter Tindall, in the death of her father, was carried,, and also with the Woolston Tent in , <ho ' death of Post Chief Ruler Bro. Musical items were caairiJnitod by Sisters E. Heyder, P. Hollander,-Bow. Hollander (2), and a rccitatioc by Sales D. Ramsfcy. During the eveuiug Bro, V\". <3. Dean, P.C.H., on bihalf of tbe- Enterprise Tent, presented Sister K. A. Bielby *vith a framed P.C.R. certificate. Bro. Dean referred to the fact that Sister Bielby. had joined the order as a juvewile, had * sained .tho \ Juvenile P.C.R. certificate, and after being transferred to tho adult tent, had now bo. , come entitled to the adult P.C.R. certificate. SPREYDOX SCHOOL COMMITTEE. At the monthly meeting of the Qpzeydon School Committee, a lengthy discussion tibok place on a clause in the minutes of » special meeting relating to tho heated xemarka of a member, and on the words complained of being withdrawn the clause was deleted. Complaints having been - rooeived that . tho school bath was being used, by unauthorised ■ persons, it wiis decided to take action, against v anyone not attending tho school using the bath between the hours of 4 pan. on Fridays, and 12 noon on Mondays. Messrs Roirtly and Bloor wero appointed a visiting committee for tho ensuing month. The_ head- - master's report showed an increase in the roll number from 201 to 227, with an average attendance of 198. Contributions amounting to £18 8s Gd had been received towardfl the picnic fund, and tho picnio balance-eheet showed receipts £24 9s Gd, and expenditure £19 8s Id, leaving a credit balance of £5 Is sd. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr "Wills (picnio secretary) and the Picnic Committee, school staff, and lady helpers, for tho admirable manner in which the picnic . had been arranged and carried out. _ A hst of /names of candidates for the position of , assistant mistress was submitted by the Education Board, and, on the motion of Messrs Wills and llandisides, it was unanimously decided to recommend to the Board that Miss Re lice M. Burley bo appointed to tho position. ; . • .
