THE OCEAN RAIDER. THE HITACHI MABU'S FATE. (By Cable. —Pre»s Association. —Copyright.) (Renter's Telegrams.) WASHINGTON, March 3. The raider Wolf captured the Japanese steamer Hitachi Maru on £>eptember 26th. Fourteen of the crew and two Indian passengers were killed in the fight. The Wolf sank the Hitachi Jlaru on November 7th. AMERICANS SINK SUBMARINE. WASHINGTON, March 3. The armed American steamer Nzanza had a two hours' running fight with a submarine. The submarine was sunk. GERjMAN CRAFT MINED. (Renter's Telegrams.) (Received March 4th, 7 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, March 3. A Berlin telegram states that a German minesweeper and three fishing steamers were sunk off Vlieland (Holland). Most of the crews were saved. TWO U-BOATS LESS. (Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association.) (Received March 4th. 7 pjn.) TOKIO, March 3. An official report states: — "Japanese destroyers sank two German submarines .in the Mediterranean."
